ITEM 4550: WENCON UW Coating is a high-performance abrasion and corrosion resistant two-component epoxy, that will adhere and cure on dry, wet as well as submerged surfaces. Suitable for touch-up repairs on superstructures and piping in general. 100 % solid and solvent free coating, capable of building up to 500μm thickness in one layer. WENCON UW Coating can be applied on surfaces where it is impossible obtaining a 100 % clean and dry repair area, such as splash-zones as well as underwater. The two-component product mixes directly in the static mixer nozzle, ensuring an optimal mixed product ready for application. The UW Coating LV is significantly faster compared to traditional packs that require manual mixing and brush application. Once cured, Wencon UW Coating LV provides a smooth, non-porous coating resistant to bi-metallic corrosion, light chemical attack, corrosion, and impingement. Wencon UW Coating LV, contains no metallic substrates or solvents. Application areas Specially designed for larger application areas, typical applications include coatings for steel, composite, and GRE surfaces. Bringing repair and maintenance solutions for, but not limited to, scrubber overboard outlet, sea water strainer, rudder blades, bow thruster or tanks for example. NB. Cathodic protection systems must be isolated/disconnected, and surfaces must be allowed to depolarize before application. Mixing Mix by volume 2:1. The product is mixed by the static mixer when dispensed from the cartridges
